TOPIC: Covid Update

Covid Update 3 Years, 5 Months ago
Boris and experts keep saying how well the UK coped with Covid. This is incorrect. Whilst almost every country handled this new trivial virus badly - influenced by media - the reality is that far more deaths of people "with" Covid per million population happened in the UK than anywhere else (admittedly in the early days). That the low current rates may indeed be partly due to vaccines but is also because so many vulnerable have already died. And that much of the credit of the lessening of serious consequences of Covid should go to Covid itself, getting less and less lethal from its tiny first days.

But most of all - don't media see this? And is the majority of humanity so stupid as to swallow it?

I agree, some states in USA carried on like Covid didn't exist and had less deaths. The media and government have played with people with mental health and it caused a lot of people to commit sucides. People were not allowed to see loved ones in care homes, hospitals or attend funerals or got married.

I was not allowed to see my daughters in New York nor could come here. Some people didn't even get furlough including me. Yet Boris and Keir did what they wanted to. Not forgetting there were neighbours grassing each other up if they had people round during the lockdowns.

I still can't see a GP and there is a massive backlog in hospitals.

We are still seeing people wearing face masks as they driving along on they are walking along in the fresh air.

Is anyone else seeing discarded masks in car parks, roads and hedges ?

We were as you say a spectacular failure on a global scale; both in the duration and severity of pointless harmful restrictions, and in not protecting those we should and could have protected.
