Really, has the media lost it? 3 Years, 5 Months ago
Common sense tells anybody with a brain cell that police investigated Jimmy Savile when he was alive and passed their findings onto the CPS (headed, at the time, by Keir Starmer) who very quickly decided the claims were totally false, as later confirmed by Anna Raccoon and others. Amongst "others" include the Mail who, later, found a key letter was a bad forgery on stationery probably provided by an ex Surrey Police officer to one of the False Accusers. Just Google it. Of course, after Savile's death, anyone after a few quid in compensation was free to say whatever they liked and for the media to call him a paedophile. Now this has become such accepted wisdom that it is considered true - by media, by the Prime Minister and by loonies who then assault Starmer.

Truly, Wonderland and the Looking Glass seem more sensible.

so it did make it to the CPS which corrects my comments in my (brilliant ) thread on KARMA so I stand corrected.

But yes..the media have come batshit crazy and a far worse than they ever where.

Even respected columnists are turning into Glenda Slaggs.

The BBC's "Specialist Disinformation Reporter" Marianna Spring was interviewed on the news this morning about Sir Keir Starmer being harassed in the street by conspiracy theorists, with it being accepted, of course, that they weren't delusional about Sir Jimmy Savile. Maybe someone should have a word with her?

She and others could start with these:

Really extraordinary how media has gone bonkers and not only politicians but the legal establishment now obeys their lunacy.

Media, of course, avoid calling the DJ SIR Jimmy Savile - an honour given to him for his proven enormous contribution to charities as opposed to the unproven false allegations made against him (a far better media story).

BORIS IN WONDERLAND please, cartoonists. With STARMER as the Red Queen. And Savile as the Mad Hatter. I can be the dormouse. Or the rabbit. "I'm late I'm late for a very important date".

What amused me most about Johnson's ill timed repost was that he tried to get the media onside by his remark about Journalists. He really doesn't understand the media, does he? They will turn on a sixpence and what they hate most is people obviously trying to court them. DOH!!! A bit like Trump, when he gets it wrong he really gets it wrong.

I thought Savile was a terrible DJ. On the one occasion I saw him active in charity (at Stoke Mandeville) I respected him enormously. We were never going to be friends - not my type at all. Whether or not he took advantage of young girls - I have no idea. I suspect he was bright enough never to do anything with anyone under 16 but the 60s and 70s were a very different time. I DO know that many pop stars like David Bowie and Marc Bolan went with many underage groupies. I DO know that there are millions of False Accusers, attracted by the potential of making a few thousand with a little lie or two.

The media has always lost it.

Lowest of the low in the entertainment world.

I am buffled why Bill Wyman didn't get locked up, if he was bin man or shop assitant it would of been a different story.

Same with Led Zep I don't think they ever had a groupie who was over aged 18.
