RIP. One of the true greats - she oversaw everything from Hancock and Steptoe to Dr Who and Sherlock. Incredible woman it was a privilege to work with for many years. This is a fine tribute:

All In The Family and Sanford and Son still has re-runs on U.S TV uncut, what I am told.

I found All In The Family very tiresome.

Didn't Spike Milligan always use to "sorry" to Beryl due to his outbursts ? Which were called by his mental illness. I was told in the pub where I worked that Peter Sellers, would refuse to say sorry for his temper and would throw and land punches at staff. I have no idea how true it is.

Charlie Drake was a vile little ****.

Thanks Kells I enjoyed reading that; particularly as a huge admirer of Galton/Simpson/Hancock. Way before my time; but it doesn't age for me. Fascinating the figures behind greatness.
