I was in a traffic jam early this morning, I was outside a church blasting out Genesis on a mix CD my partner made for me. When Jesus He Knows Me came on I turned up the volume. Some one from the church yelled 'Right on brother, I hear you' half way through the song.

I have no idea if he is a fan of "Trio" Genensis or he didn't get the irony of the song ? It's now one of life's unanswered questions.

I was there in person, when Jimmy Swaggart made his tearful apology (I have sinned ) speech to the world after he slept with hookers in 1988.

A group of friends had to stop ourselves from laughing. He was sorry he was caught, nothing else. It was a massive scandal it was hard get away from it.

A group of friends travelled 3 hour car journeys from Houston to Baton Rouge when the news broke out.

We used to go Baton Rouge a lot for concerts but his church was something we had to see.


It was like a pantomime.

When Swaggart was caught the second time with a hooker he brushed it aside.

Identifying and even earning a living as a "Christian" doesn't make anyone a Christian. That is to do - like anything else - with actions. I observe this as an atheist.

I cannot criticize a single thing Jesus is reported to have said.

They get some facts wrong though..clearly for many reasons he was born in August not December.

I'd be very surprised if he wasn't born the same day as me as we share so many values.

Like all Virgos he is a martyr (the Ultimate One) and though quite virginal he was probably quite raunchy as well. Hanging out with all those blokes and prostitutes.
