Brief Encounter for the hundredth time. 3 Years, 5 Months ago
On BBC2 again and one of the five greatest films ever made in my opinion. Absolutely marvellous from one second in to the end; mainly due to Noel Coward (Mistress Fry and I once had an argument when I said Coward was far more artistically talented than Oscar Wilde) but also brilliant Howard & Johnson, that fabulous music and great supporting roles (the guy who played Fred was fantastic). LOVE this movie. Thank you for coming back to me.

It dawns me that only a gay man could have written this incredible script about two (heterosexual) people falling in love.
Thanks Noel (my father knew him and I met Trevor Howard).
