Something smells (see the Prosecution tactic of smearing the BBC by using false allegations against an innocent man - presumed until or until proven guilty in a Court of Law) about this.
I gather the police/prosecution tricks were disgraceful. Fair enough if they think they've got a criminal. But when they KNOW it's not true? I find that shocking. And when the system goes along with it - 12 years for doing nothing; just TRYING to do something? I thought the 18 years for Carl Beech was shocking and unfair and said so - and turned a lot of my supporters into enemies for saying so. This century humanity cannot see shades of grey. Cannot balance. Only black or white - and then exaggerated.

I don't think it is ever justified, even if they "think" they've got a criminal.
