Official Downing Street statement refers to "hard working employees". How do they know they are all hard working at P&O? Many could be slackers; lazy and useless. Like many NHS workers. But it's all exaggerate, colour, obey the new century rules. Truth is simply not good enough.

And why are they even commenting? Private company in trouble sacks staff; happens all the time. I suppose they could have apologised for crippling the cruise industry for 2 years with pointless Covid restrictions....Truth is as soon as anything emotive appears in the media - or is generated by it - the Gov just has to jump on the bandwagon.

Indeed, and the times when for instance, people vote for a particular person thinking the NHS will be revitalised and instead they get locked up for months and cant see a doctor for years!
