I'm sorry if I've been rather occupied for the last month. My Mum was very ill and died at 8.05pm on Friday 24th August.

It must be a very difficult time for you.

Console yourself with the knowledge that she had a good and long life, and that she had her loved ones close to her at the end.

very sad news

I am so sorry to read your very sad news.

Have been on holiday Jonathan, and so I have just read the news. My deepest sympathy. She seemed to me like the best mother anyone could ever wish to have.

God bless, sounds like a wonderfull mother supporting you through thick and thin. You will see her again one day in heaven.

Have just read JK's lovingly written tribute to his mum and looked at some of the photographs. The paintings of her as a child, through to the b/w photographs when she was in her prime, and then that last image of her shortly before she passed away. In that last photograph you could see she was a woman at peace with the world. May I make the bold suggestion that the Sun's Dont Give King A Thing Campaign and the rest, were always destined to fail most miserably. They couldn't hurt the man nor the love of his life. A very moving portrait. Thanks Jonathan.

Sorry to hear of your loss Jonathan, I lost my Mum this year too and I know how much it hurts.

Nothing in life matters as much now does it..
