But why? Suspicious minds are alerting.

Very few have such talent. Most strive for long careers.

Like Williams, King, Nadal etc., and generations of others.

It's part of a plan to make tennis less stressful for Naomi Osaka. Eventually, without other players and spectators, Naomi, hopefully, will then be able to enjoy the game without unkind people causing her unpleasantness.

The story going the rounds is that this lady is to join the professional golf circuit. She has also shown a talent for this game.

There is not much difference between her actions and those of Justine Henin.

In 2008 Justine was 25, (like Ash), was World Number 1 and had won seven Grand Slams. She retired a couple of weeks before the French Open.
She had spent 117 weeks, consecutively, at the top of the ATP rankings.

Justine said - like Ash - that she had given her all, and wanted to get away from tennis and try something else.
She came back in 2010 and retired again in 2011.

AB has lived with her professional golfer partner for some time now; they're currently building a house beside their Golf Club.

Where AB won a tournament (again) this weekend, and plays there regularly with her partner. AB's future is golf; wasn't that obvious?
