I haven't watched it for years, but I was quite impressed when I did. Occasionally, however, they would have an episode that was absolutely David Lynch-style insane for a daytime soap. I recall one that was made up of several different Shakespearean pastiches, and another where everything went backwards. I suspected it was to test if anyone was watching, or maybe the writers were awarded a 'free hit' for long service!
When Noel's House Party ended, the regular actors in the Gotcha sequences got hired for Doctors, including the balding bloke who became, if memory serves, Heston. That was a bit surreal when it happened. And the rather nice Elisabeth Dermot Walsh is the daughter of 1950s B-movie stalwart Dermot Walsh.
