I have no idea whether Savile was guilty of any crimes - neither is anybody else (until and unless proven guilty in a court of law) - but this latest "shocking revelation" is sooo stupid. It made great sense for anybody in the public eye to consult Jimmy on media - he was a brilliant manipulator of it, like Trump and Paddington Bear. But the writing in this article in the Times is so shockingly one sided. Nowhere does it even hint that some of the accusers may be liars. Or some exaggerators. Or some after compensation. We've seen how some were media hookers after making profits by selling fake stories. We've read the NHS reports (extraordinary - they totally indicate his accusers are all after money or sympathy or fame). He can't fight back. He's dead. Notice the one line buried in this tragic article about the millions he raised for Stoke Mandeville. A far more important contribution to the world than whether or not he once touched up a woman. For God's Sake - what has happened to balance? Alice Jones - you should be ashamed. Netflix - you should be ashamed. Savile doesn't care. He's dead. In fact he's probably delighted - every one of these nauseating exposees nudges a few more observers with brains into the TRUTH army.

There is a new Netflix documentary out on Savile. I haven't watched it because I don't subscribe to any thing. I am too tight for that.

I don't have Netflix etc either GM. My reason is that there is plenty on freeview I can watch and I don't even watch that much anyway.

A Savile doc? My response is why would anyone wish to watch it? I have no idea or interest in what he did or didn't do (if he was the worst paedophile in the world or wasn't a paedophile at all: why does anyone find this interesting?).

I have zero interest in whatever his "talent" was. It was never evident to me at all what this might be (but each to their own), and what I saw of him did not make me wish to find out.

I just don't get the Savile fuss at all, either way.

After the scandals broke out, I was seeing a lot of bands from the 70s (I won't name them.) They all said that they knew about Savile, but was too scared to say anything because of fear of loosing their lives and jobs.

When I go round people houses they all seem to watch Pawn Stars. I don't mind it all, I love the trivia in the show.

I know the stars of it are arrogant jerks. I went to the pawn shop a few years before the show. Big Hoss (Corey) served me and he looked or was extremely stoned out off his nut.

I was told by an acquaintance who lives in Vegas (God knows why) that Rick does not like fans or like being approached unless there's money it for him. Rick Harrison, has a little restaurant near the pawn shop.

Some fans have bought him a drink, if he is there that is. However they get charged near $25 for a little shot of whisky, Rick only drinks whisky apparently.

I was also told that Rick plays on his deafness to ignore people. However he has no problem when big, chested ladies talk to him. Then gives away free signed merchandise or memorabilia.

Chumlee will greet and talk to fans on his terms. He has been to known to go around incognito but by doing that he has made himself more obvious.


Yes, the shop is a pawn shop but it's more of a tourist trap and you won't see the Pawn Stars there. They do have a website and they do sell cool stuff.

Rick, mentions real estate on the show about the shop, however in the shop they have no problems having racks of T -shirts, key chains, magnets, signed photos and bobble heads. If you need a magnet to say you have been there, then you have more money and sense.

Mark Williams Thomas was on the Phillip Schofield show talking about it.

Seeing Vernon Kay on that video makes me think he could easily have people accuse him of stuff too.
He is an ex-Radio 1 DJ who was obviously around young girls at events.

I just saw James Masterton (chart show blogger) being referred to as a "notorious Savile defender" which
i think is a bit harsh as like others he is entitled to his opinion.

I hate the way MWT described people who disagreed with him as "savile or child abuse defenders" that was
bang out of order.

The likes of Anna Raccoon, Rabbit Away, James Masterton, Moor Larkin, Chris Barrett are people who
are intelligent who are open minded and see beyond the bullshit.

Yes I don't "defend" Savile - I know even less about the facts than MWT does. But I don't "condemn" him either - for that very reason. That's what I object to and I am aware that sometimes, even a jury can get it wrong. That I can personally guarantee.
