Visiting a friend for lunch today in a suburb called Redfern in inner Sydney.

From the back verandah of his tiny terrace he pointed to 2 large apartment buildings..council flats in a suburb full of them (but being gentrified)

"Do you know who lived there" he asked, Referring to 3 people brought up by single Mums in social housing & basic poverty.

I didn't so he pointed.. to the floors they lived on.

In one building on the 5th floor...Tanya Pliberseck..brought up by her Polish Mum & most likely will be Oz's Deputy PM after a general election on mAY 21ST.

Next door, Anthony Albanese abandoned by his Italian dad & raised by his single mother..probably be Prime Minister of Oz in 6 weeks.

"The little building next door" he pointed.."which was always fairly crime ridden.. a single Aboriginal Mum..she brought up her son there & he changed his name".. to The Kid Laroi , nearly won a Grammy last week.

Ain't life strange.
