Rapidly becoming the majority in our species - the "Sturgeon not wearing a mask" non story is as stupid as PartyGate. I've said for some time that SUPERFICIALISATION - which has overtaken humanity this century - will destroy our species just as it tried (and failed) to destroy me in 2001. If there was a Devil (which I don't believe) this would be his current Weapon of Mass Destruction.

The trouble is that all this empty noise distracts from the real questions: were Boris etc al correct to lockdown? The evidence mounts that they were not. Partygate easier. What has NATO been doing on the Russian border for decades; what has been our level of provocation? Putin new Stalin easier. If you question lockdown you are agreeing to Covid deaths. If you question Western belligerence against Putin you are justifying dead Ukranian babies. Neither of these statements (just two examples from a vast array) logically follows from the position. But they are widely accepted. No one thinks, no one listens now; people react and categorise. Such a civilization is not destined to prosper; except in hatred and destruction.

Yes Wyot and for years I've been predicting the end of civilisation as we know it. I'm sorry if I sound like one of those men who used to walk around with sandwich boards who spoke at Hyde Park Corner but I really do wonder whether the world will survive longer than I will.

I think civilisation as we know it has - is - changing before our eyes for those who can see. The move to - dare I say it! - rigid binary "thinking" (this is polite - it is the move to stopping thinking) is the biggest challenge to mankind. We will (hopefully) survive this imminent vague nuclear worry but what follows?

We need the loud worthy minority to understand and laud non-binary psychology, not an illusory biological version.

Non-binary psychology (my extempore term don't Google it) is the capacity to hold two apparently opposing views in the mind at the same time, and feel comfortable and informed without the resort to zero-sum categorisation (ZSC).

ZSC leads to forced opposition; which leads to hatred of "the other", which leads to concentration camps.

Concentration camps? Another word for prisons - it was my disposal into one of those that opened my eyes about the way humanity was changing. Of course there were wrongful convictions before 2000 and of course mine might have been the direct result of that job offer, but only the extremes of opinion could have made it happen. Great media story; ambitious police; persuadable jurors... BANG! A different (though equally enjoyable) career.
