Both Easter and Christmas have a wealth of glorious (and dreadful) old movies on TV. Caught many over this long weekend - from Epics like The Ten Commandments gorgeous old Charlton Heston before he needed a wig and Yul Brynner who never bothered with one. Kenneth More (my next door neighbour here in the 60s) and, for me, the best versions of The 39 Steps. The Great Escape (wasn't Steve McQueen fabulous? - Scott Walker, my friend in that decade, resembled him). The Lion King (splendid Disney cartoon).
