why is Mike Tyson not the "disgraced Mike Tyson" in newspaper tales and TV reports?

Why is his serious rape conviction never mentioned in articles that simple label him as a "world champion" boxer?

Why is he invited to conferences etc..as a convicted rapist..even to Australia about 5 years ago where he attended charity events and people paid good money to be snapped with a convicted criminal (drug convictions too) ?

( David Icke..who I loathe, was banned from entering Oz 3 years ago. Icke has never been convicted of anything)

Now.. I'm of the belief once someone has served their sentence..whether their sex assault conviction was real or a False Accusation, is entitled and should be able to re-enter society as a free person with all rights and dignity restored.

Is it because Tyson is a sport's star and the media thrives on sport so in his case, he is exempt from the usual ratbag monikers they attach to those they cherry pick to demonise even after they have done their penance?

It's a perfect example of how our media is now riddled with Glenda Slaggs & Phil Spaces who wield the power to create or destroy at will.

And Boy George. I am happy to see people do their time and never have it spoken of again, but it should be the same for everyone.

I note media reports in Oz and the US mention that the chap Tyson had an altercation with on that plane has criminal convictions for theft.

But they don't mention Tyson has a convcition for rape?

There's nothing nice about Mike Tyson both off and on screen - I was told once in a Las Vegas casino. However he was box office draw for PPV and tickets. When Lennox Lewis knocked him out was a superb. However the passenger was acting a dick towards Tyson so he got was deserved. Never piss anyone off like dogs because you don't know how they will react back. There's a reaction to every action !

Look at Bill Wyman he is a n***e in my book however people still buy the Rolling Stones music from his era and see his shows. Led Zep/Elvis was also banging 12-14 year olds left, right and centre. There's nothing pleasent about the music biz.

It's mad that Icke is banned from certain arena's and theatre's - surely it down to the public to decide with their pockets ?

The rape is too historic and can't be raked up as a new media sell; and happened pre the levels of woke retribution response we see now. Therefore it has faded. The media aren't interested; so no one else is.

I don't think it is to do with money, actually. Depp earns God knows what for those silly pirate flicks; but they dropped him like a stone with not a shred of evidence that he had even pointed a finger at Amber.

IMHO, both are good actors in court.

The only people who will benefit are lawyers.

You're right Wyot, Tyson did numerous and some historic bouts after. He made SKY TV, newspapers a lot of money also and other cable providers.

Sounds like the guy was a dick and started and is throwing something at someone assault even if it's water ? If you through water at someone expect shit in return or at least keep your guard up and hope the bigger man gets tired.


I can't even name an Amber Herd movie. I hate boxing also; I saw too much of when I was younger and bar brawls.
