Boris, Brexit and Northern Ireland 1 Year, 11 Months ago
I hate it when people (or countries) happily break the law. I hated it when 10cc re-negotiated for the second time (I refused to allow it and sold them to PolyGram - their career slipped away). If the world, let alone the EU, knows it's never worth doing a deal with the UK as they will break it, what point is there? The stupid "protocol" was never going to work. We cannot have a border in the sea. Likewise we cannot have a border in the island of Ireland. Brexit simply does not work unless one side is prepared to break a stupid deal that should never have been agreed. And Boris knew it. I think this is a total disgrace and this - not Partygate or affairs or other lies - must terminate the man's Premiership.

Agreed he is a disgrace and it is embarrassing to be British currently.

However, the solution to all this is obvious.

Now Sinn Fein has the majority of seats (by a couple) at Stormont clearly the people of NI (at least 51% but this is enough based on our recent Brexit precedent) desire a united Ireland.

Boris should do one of those referendum thingies he is so keen on in NI- and Ireland can unite contentedly in the EU.

Meanwhile, we can go it further alone to the greater glories and heights we are so obviously destined for...

* my challenge on here (which hasn't been met yet) remains - can anyone name one uncontested advantage to Britain resulting directly from leaving the EU? Just one?*

And Scotland the same I reckon WYOT - stupid Brexit deserves to mean the stupid UK becomes England and Wales. The EU is the future.
