Quite apart from what is mentioned in this article..the sheer problem of funneling 1000s of kids in and out of a school, locked doors etc..do people really honestly think a person intent on mass murder of children..and is able to buy a semi automatic killing machine in a minute..only want to mass murder children if they are in a school room?Really?

Fully automatic weapons are banned in USA. A lot of guns used in massacre's are normally their parents guns. Any lock can be picked, in California guns have to be stored under lock and key it's state law.
There is no gun show loop hole. If Ramos didn't own a gun he would of found a different way to his evil deed. Sounds like Ramos was fucked up from the start. A father no where to be seen, a mother that left him and being bought by grandparents.
The UK still has high murder rate and it's one of the worst places in Europe for it.
After the Martin Bryant mass murder in Tasmania the (right wing) Australian PM got the law strictly tightened on gun ownership with an amnesty where 100s of 1000s of weapons were handed in to be destroyed.
No mass shootings since. Everyone is delighted.

I don't know the exact solution but I recognize absolute balderdash when it's presented and anyone & people need to stop pretending the NRA (with it's donated Russian money) doesn't play on the fears of idiotic Yanks who think they are going to have to overthrow the government one day (as they just tried) and has a vice grip on Republican politicians.
Simplistic stupid ideas like arming teacherswhen numerous heavily armed cops were outside the classroom & apparently too frightened to go in as kids and teachers were being murdered. in Uvalde What hope would a 50 year old female teacher have?
As previously mentioned : the absolute lunacy being discussed that you lock down schools or have students file in or leave by one door as though it's the school that is the problem & all will be safe when the minute those..up to 3000 children in some schools, are immediately exposed to be murdered by the dozens or picked off outside.
My point is not that I have the answer..my point is that narcissistic pathological lying sociopaths like Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are actually taken seriously with their simplistic solutions when they couldn't give a stuff about dead kids anyway and they do not dare cross the NRA.
If guns are so bloody safe why were they banned from the recent NRA convention that Trump spoke at (and did his little dance after announcing 19 dead children's names..so fucking weird).

He's delighted his son & his wife and 2 grand kids have gone to live in a remote rural town in Oklahoma.
I think there should be much stricter controls of guns. I think the insanity of the USA must stop. But I don't think either extreme is the right way and I don't think mindlessly denigrating opposing views is helpful. It is just a further example of superficialisation. That is the REAL enemy.
