It really doesn't care. Nobody minds and if they do they just grumble on social media that nobody sees. The BBC just had a News Crawl saying the Russian Ambassador says Russia "will not use nuclear weapons". He didn't. I watched the interview. He said, in his opinion it was unlikely. Myrie tried to push him into saying "they won't". Quite correctly, not having his finger on the button, he declined.

Really BBC News - how can you allow this kind of thing. It happens every day, again and again.

Standards have descended so far that the media is the story. What we used to think of as the story, is now potential source material for the story.
