Great BBC programme on our wonderful Queen 3 Years, 1 Month ago
Who has been an absolute beacon of moral light for 96 years. That's what I think will be her legacy; decency; kindness; courage and devotion to duty. In every way a shining example of how a human being should behave. What a lady.

I agree she has publicaly behaved immaculately over her reign; probably in a way that is impossible to do now with 24/7 media.

Any of of her successors already born will be unable to claim the same. None of her predecessors had the opportunity to achieve what she has, because they had more actual power.

And perhaps because they were men, with more public and internal expectations placed on them to do something.

Whether it is down to her talents and/or her particular situation in history, her presence has been a soothing balm through the years.

Lord knows what is about to come; but it won't be this.

I am of course a Royalist (like Charles as well) even though intellectually (?) I know a Republic is more fair.

But who wants a boring old President to sign official documents like in France (mind you he's not boring).

The feeling this time though is not same as her Jubileee in '77 when we even a street party in our little Mews where little old working class people 9not me) still lived.

Much more hate from people who hate the Monarchy ( Murdoch, Daily Mail)

I did love her here but missed this where she looks remarkably like a Queensland comedian Gary Connolly.
