TOPIC: The Boris fiasco
#223164
The Boris fiasco 2 Years, 11 Months ago
So let's take a step back.
What is going on?
Well, useless MPs are queuing up to show they are ready to be MINISTERS in whatever new administration the new PM chooses.
Indeed some without the guts to quit are now throwing their battered hat into the ring "I want to be next Tory leader please".
Meanwhile Labour and Lib Dems crow with delight (not realising that a new, better PM would be a far more dangerous opponent).

So what's next?
A woman will accuse Boris of rape or underage sex ("You will be believed even if you are lying").
That will finish him off.
Then another woman (or man) will accuse Keir Starmer of rape or underage sex.
Starmer - toast.

And who ever DOES become one PM can expect similar (yes, even if they are female; we are now in equal gender judicial insanity).

As long as the law remains bonkers and as long as the media only wants "a great story", we can anticipate this.
And as long as the majority of the stupid public continues to go along with media, it can only get worse.

3,418 visits to this thread in 20 minutes. When media decides something is a good story, it really catches fire!

Don't you just wish that when someone is asked "Why did you resign?" they answer "Because the media told me to"?

By the way, whether or not Boris resigns (latest news - he will) - the sex abuse allegations (and, I'm sure, convictions) will still happen (there's money in it for both false accusers and bent lawyers). Likewise I suspect whoever leads Labour. And the future Tory leader.
It is, after all, the growth crime industry of the Century. "You will be believed, even if you are lying". The Legal Precedent of our time.

So many of us knew Boris would be a disaster - I thought Hunt might have been OK and was anyway far better than Boris; Hunt is an ex Carthusian as am I and as was Max Hastings (sat next to me in history) who was devastating about Boris years ago; As was Matthew Paris who knew him well. No surprise. But most of the rest are just as bad.

Sorry to hear that. Hope your tweeting rights are restored.

Hope they manage to replace Boris with someone of a higher calibre, wise and capable of acting with dignity and dealing with the war in Ukraine. Maybe too much to ask. I thought that photo of Boris with his shirt hanging out (is it ever tucked in?) his arms around world leaders at the G7, and joking about showing off their pecs was very undignified given the seriousness of the Ukraine situation. He shouldn't have been doing that when cameras were around.

What new vision of hell will follow Boris?

If Boris wishes to escape the press on retirement I understand Rwanda is a pleasant country to repatriate to....

Herd Instinct? Quite right Boris but the herd is totally informed and told how to behave by the media.

I think she is lovely. She reminds me of Miss Jones from Rising Damp.

I'm banking on Liz Truss as the next PM purely for the amusement factor.

And no-on will accuse her.
