Why VOYAGE is essential to see. 3 Years ago
Talking to James who is not an Abba fan, he understood at last by saying "Ah, a Shared Experience". I snapped - "NO; that is the point. You can have a "shared experience" online or on TV but it's not a real shared experience with other human beings, just as friends are NOT friends if you've never met them".

This incredible show is an experience shared with other breathing, sweating, cheering, singing human beings. Of mass appeal music (I've written to Genesis saying they MUST do a version; ditto to Paul Macca).

Abba has broken new ground. Perhaps their greatest achievement.

Genesis as holograms ?

I'd rather more studio albums, RMaybe ay Wilson doing a project like taking Calling All Stations on tour with his own band, I would love it if Tony Banks did some classical music tours with from his 3 classical albums Seven, Six and Five.

I can't wait for Peter Gabriel next album.

Steve Hackett has pretty much done a global tour with Genesis Revisited.

It has interesting possibilities. You could have all Tony Burrows stuff, or all Chin and Chapman etc, or recreate a TOTP or Woodstock maybe, rather than it all being one person or group.

Exactly Honey - different shows for different groups or artistes or even producers. There could even be a good JK show if it was done as well as Voyage (with as little of me performing as possible).

It still not for me.

However I love your taste of singers and songwriters Honey.

I love the set Peter Gabriel did at Woodstock 94. I wish to inquire JK, if you knew how big and creative Peter Gabriel would be, when you recorded the first Genesis album ? It's an album not to be overlooked or sneered at. So many questions for you JK and not enough time; you should write a memoir on the album From Genesis To Revelation. I am sure there is more information than Wiki entry.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Genesis_to_Revelation (Chris Stewart has written some funny and interesting books about his life in Spain. The Almond Blossom Appreciation Society is a must read. His books would make a good TV serial.

When - if - you go to Voyage you'll understand GM. A genesis "Voyage" would include a teenage Peter and band doing songs from G2R as well as solo work from Mike, Tony and Ant and (I'd suggest) Chris Stewart reading a short passage from his Walking On Lemons. Young Phil the Artful Dodger. The concept is extraordinary and works 100%. You'll only understand when you see it.

You missed out Flaming Youth.

Are you still in touch with the orginal members JK ?

It's a shame Ant Phillips work is over looked, I know Cherry Red bought out the box sets but I am waiting for them to be released in one bumper set.
