Talking to James who is not an Abba fan, he understood at last by saying "Ah, a Shared Experience". I snapped - "NO; that is the point. You can have a "shared experience" online or on TV but it's not a real shared experience with other human beings, just as friends are NOT friends if you've never met them".
This incredible show is an experience shared with other breathing, sweating, cheering, singing human beings. Of mass appeal music (I've written to Genesis saying they MUST do a version; ditto to Paul Macca).
Abba has broken new ground. Perhaps their greatest achievement.
Genesis as holograms ?
I'd rather more studio albums, RMaybe ay Wilson doing a project like taking Calling All Stations on tour with his own band, I would love it if Tony Banks did some classical music tours with from his 3 classical albums Seven, Six and Five.
I can't wait for Peter Gabriel next album.
Steve Hackett has pretty much done a global tour with Genesis Revisited.
