For sure it was session players with Paul da Vinci providing the lead voice for a standard session fee. When the record became a hit Wayne Bickerton put together a working band but da Vinci was not involved.

Thank you for clarifying.

When Paul Da Vinci sang for Bill Hurd's Rubettes he was fantastic. Alan William's Rubettes had more energy but Sugar Baby Love sounded shit. I still listen to their last 70s albums: Still Unwinding and Sometime In Oldchurch.

Ignore that. Wrong message for the wrong post. My partners' phone was playing up.

However though, I was ordering CD's earlier and found these. I know you like 70's Brit pop. My friends enjoyed their holiday in Liverpool.

When I did karaoke nights. There was a bank teller who was a regular. He sang Alvin Stardust songs extremely well.

You're welcome I will probably order them when I got more cash on the hip.

I'm still waiting for Cherry Red to release Genesis first album which JK sold to them. I hope there's a lot of demos, outtakes and mixes also.

Also I hope Cherry Red will re-release Anthony Phillips albums in a huge a box set.
