TOPIC: Pouring rain on the Riviera
#224801
Pouring rain on the Riviera 2 Years, 10 Months ago
Thunder and lightning all day; pouring rain. So I stayed inside at the Majestic, tried to eat at Fouquets (jammed due to the rain negating all outside tables so failed), came home and cooked myself a Wild West on the Range meal with lots of beans and potatoes with chicken, mushrooms, onions and cauliflower - my Blazing Saddles special. See the photo in the section.

When you say home, do you mean you came back to London because you couldn't get a table at the restaurant?

I'm not quite that much of a Diva! No my home here in Antibes. I spend so many months in Antibes, Rome and Morocco each year I think of them as alternative homes!

You should sell your London home whilst the prices are still good.

London is a wasteland of filth and shittery.

He cant sell the house he has had since he was a boy for goodness sake.

Also, If I haven't got my areas muxed ip, Mr King is in a perfectly pleasant spot.

He should move to a rural part of Luxembourg and breed rabbits.

I would buy it if I had the money and JK vacated! Could be a bolt-hole from Mrs Wyot & the noisy children...

Looks very pretty and great location.

Love London and lived in the East for a couple of years; but happier bringing up kids in Surrey...

Like a lot of us I yearn for two lives!

Make an offer, cash in hand and see if JK accepts.

I think it would be very nice.. private, spacious, secure and very well positioned..

Unfortunately I haven’t got the £6 million in my back pocket to fund it …

Besides.. being based overseas, I haven’t got UK residency rights.. I’d have to come over on a tourist visa for 6 months and stay in a bed and breakfast joint on the cheaper side of town..
