I have no sympathy for either Trump or Boris as far as policies go; they are both far too right wing for me - I tend to be socially left wing; economically right wing. I hated Brexit. I hate Trump's immigration laws. But I can spot similarities in their attitudes to my own. I never accepted the industry norms in music and as a result I had huge success doing things my way. There would never have been Genesis, 10cc, Abba, Bay City Rollers without me and certainly no Who Let The Dogs or Get Knocked Down or several dozen other hits. But the Establishment got me in the end; as I accepted the offer of becoming global Chairman of EMI, it kicked in. The result was the end of me (as a music industry force) and, I must say, the end of the music industry as a giant, mass appeal force.
Both Boris and Trump worked the same way. Both were brought down by the Establishment using technical methods - supported by the media. So having a sip of wine when not meant to means the end of the world - The Man is Clearly Dishonest!!! He must go (and he has).
Taking documents away he shouldn't have? Shocking. Appalling. Prosecute him (so he can't run again).
And media provokes a hefty chunk of the brain dead public to agree with the simplistic slogans. As they tried to do when a President dared have sex with someone who wasn't his wife. Who cares? What matters is whether they were any good as leaders.
It's always petty reasons by trivial people that bring down the giants. Like Lilliput and Gulliver.
