I'm afraid I agree with McEnroe. Until you've been there nobody can understand the seductive power of the media. Attention; pretend sympathy; wanting 100% of your time (and if you refuse, like Meghan did, they turn against you). The money (endorse this; appear here; do this session). The advice from respected coaches, parents etc ("You need to practice more". "You're fired. I want fame and money"). The only thing that matters to media is "Is it a good story?".
Now Emma you have to show if you're any good. Or were you just a One Hit Wonder?

What a position for a youngster to be in, in whatever field. King or Queen of the world one minute, "nothing" the next.
It must all come down to mindset and characters in the end surely?
If she is just in it for money or fame it is unlikely to endure...I doubt she fell in love with tennis as a kid paying too much attention to all that crap...
