Attention; pretend sympathy; wanting 100% of your time (and if you refuse, like Meghan did, they turn against you). The money (endorse this; appear here; do this session). The advice from respected coaches, parents etc ("You need to practice more". "You're fired. I want fame and money"). The only thing that matters to media is "Is it a good story?".
