Wayne Couzens - typical if extreme? 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Wayne Couzens
A typical if extreme example of police behaviour globally today.
Couzens represents the overwhelming attitude of police officers across the world. They can get away with anything.
If accused they will normally be backed and supported by their bosses.
If Couzens had only raped Everard and had let her live, he could not only have escaped prosecution but would probably still be a serving British cop.
Like the cop in Minneapolis - if a passing member of the public had not filmed the attack and death of George Floyd, the cop would never have faced prosecution or censure and would still be a serving US cop.
Thousands of police get away with it every day, backed by their bosses.
The system supports them. Very few complaints are referred to independent bodies, and those that are usually get rejected.
I personally witnessed Surrey Police kill three men.
My complaints have been rejected.
So should I assume I got it wrong?
Or did I get it right and the system has got it wrong?
You decide.

Would Couzens have exposed himself in MacDonalds (if he did - case still pending) if he'd not been a serving police officer? I seriously doubt it (if - I stress - he did).
