One of the big pluses of Lockdown and summer and everything stopping is that TV stations show old movies - this one from 1957. When you've been through three jury trials it's even better but anyway a great creative effort - acting, script, direction and camerawork.
Costing only $300k to make - a classic under so many categories. Showcasing complete indifference by some jurors (to the verdict); impatience - let's just get this over with; incorrect assumptions - completely misinterpreting evidence; having to be right - forget the facts!; boredom - not even listening; prejudices (against the accused) - expressed or not. All still happens in jury rooms.
