TOPIC: What Boris did next.

What Boris did next. 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Well I seem to have been wrong in predicting he'd join the LibDems, become Leader and call an election before going on Tuesday. So now? I reckon he'll remain there, watching Truss fall apart, stand again as leader in 2024 and get re-elected in a landslide.

A highly intelligent, experienced, educated and conceptual individual - who did so many things so far.

Over 30 years ago, he worked for The Telegraph in Brussels. Later he was a fine editor of The Spectator.

The next chapter is obvious - directorships, speeches, consultancies etc. And he'll be in demand.

Not only here - but all over this virus infected, war torn and ever changing world.

From which he's the latest high-profile exiteer. With recent Intel and opinions - up to date: Netflix next?

At times I can't tell whether you are doing a parody Barney...

What is a "conceptual" individual btw?

And his journey begins by the passing of a baton that’s slippery and impossible to handle.

Boris Johnson is handing his successor an economic 'catastrophe'

Barney you are imagining how YOU would feel if you were handed the slippery baton.
To YOU, it would be a seemingly impossible task to right the wrongs, but Truss and Sunak clearly could not give a stuff and will not feel burdened in the slightest.

Truss has trumped Labour with her energy plans.

she may surprise us yet.

Maggie may be her hero but she doesn't seem as ideological as her

Well yes let's wait and see I suppose. Her energy plans - to the tune of about 100bn - are taxpayer funded. This on top of the Furlow payments to businesses during the lockdowns...

And in the same breath she is intending to cut taxes...This is incoherent.

Maggie would have been honest that we can't have it all; that pain may be needed to recover.

She would have engaged with us as grown ups.

So far I haven't seen Liz doing much of that sort of thing...
