Well I thought it was tremendous, moving, incredible skill in rehearsal and performance, good readings - I felt so sorry for the family particularly Charles (he's almost my age - I couldn't have stood as long and behaved so impeccably). And the pall bearers. Imagine the terror? Camilla is going to be great as Queen; well done singing along to God Save The King. I challenge any country on earth to do spectacle as well (in fact friends in Morocco watching it are amazed).

Apart from the sheer splendiferousness of it all..as only the Brits can do..was the million cell phone cameras held high to catch a passing glimpse often with people peering into their phones rather than reality passing by.

Why?

The TV coverage has been superb and there will surely be films released on disc and whatever.

A tad different to my Aunt who lived in Australia in 1954 and had a cine camera and took some wonderful colour film of the Britannia arriving in Sydney Harbour and then Her Majesty & Prince Phillip arriving in a motor boat at Circular Quay (now donated to the British Library)

After reading that, I had to go and listen to Family Snapshot by Peter Gabriel.
