What people are listening to? 2 Years, 9 Months ago
Out of curiosity I like to know what posters on this site are listening or what CDs they have in their cars.
At the moment I have been listening to Blackjack and the first 2 Micheal Bolton albums.
My partner's jaw almost hit the dashboard when I told her it's Michael Bolton; she thought it was just generic Southern band I had playing. She asked, 'When did he do good rock music?'

I walk to work (when not working from home) while listening to audio books.
When I work at home I listen to a lot of music: yesterday was various George Gershwin pieces and a couple of run throughs of the album "Animals" by Pink Floyd....

Is that because you're a posh bastard?
I have a lot of Buddy Holly stuff (presents from friends) JK, I do find his stuff very hit and miss. I do like Roy Orbison to listen to when I am sorting out spreadsheets and invoices.

Are you serious?
Go back to your ABBA and Bucks Fizz. Music is down to each person's personal tastes.
Bruce Kulick is an excellent guitarist I have seen live numerous times with both Kiss and Grandfunk Railroad.
Micheal Bolton singing on Everybody's Crazy album very Paul Stanley at times and again work Bruce Kulick on guitar's.
Bolton's crossing over to power ballads in the late 80s did nothing for me.

Good question Green Man,
well I don't have a car, so my listening when out and about (on trains, busses, trams) is done on my iPhone with earpopds
I listen to my favourite pop and sometimes other genres..
80's British pop... loads by writers/rpoducers Stock Aitken Waterman
70's general pop and pop/rock including writers/producers Chinn and Chapman and well as others
60's Bubblegum especially by writers/producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeffry Katz
early 70's British Bubblegum and Pop by songwriters &/or producers including Cook/Greenaway, Tony Macaulay, Geoff Stephens, Gerry Shury, Phil Swern, Ron Roker, John Carter/Shakespear, Barry Mason, Les Reed, Mitch Murray, Mike Leander, John Macleod, JK of course,
Lot's of today's pop, and pop/dance coming out today but usually with a retro 80's feel..
I was always intrigued by the songwriters behind the songs..
My head is still probably stuck in the70's and 80's when it comes to my favourite styles of music..

An absolute gem written by Tony Macaulay and Geoff Stephens. It still gets airplay on US radio stations.
