TOPIC: What Lizzy did next.

What Lizzy did next. 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Dump her Chancellor. Give the gig to a good man (all old Charterhouse pupils are OK). Basically say to the world "I'm useless as PM; like a chicken with its head cut off; desperately hoping to win over the media but the obvious way - stick with my team - would imply I've got a brain - even if I'm misguided. So do the worst thing possible. Admit I know nothing; I'm clueless; I'm disloyal and I'll do anything that, on superficial glance, might seem clever".

DOH! Has there ever been a more brain dead leader who - worst thing - everyone knew was a moron? Boris even (it's rumoured) described her as that. Seriously mentally challenged. I was astonished when my (then) MP had an affair with her.

Her answers to the press questions were literally terrifying to anyone who has seen The Stepford Wives. She is incapable of intelligent thought or response. She has to go - NOW.

I think my thoughts on Liz Truss can be summed up in three words that someone else has used.

DEAR OH DEAR.

"Credibility? I'm glad you mentioned credibility..."

Different answers for different questions.

It's easy. Unless you don't have a brain and have to rely on other people for thought.

I'd have preferred "Help Henry - what do I say?".

There's nothing wrong with relying on others as long as you're happy to admit it.

I think we may be seeing the end days of te Conservative Party as we know it.

Imagine being a Tory MP right now. The parliamentary party didn't (pre referendum) want Brexit and it didn't want Truss. The party is being "run" by aged Tories in the shires. There is a total mismatch.

How can it last in its present form?

Yes agreed on Truss. It is very nearly beyond satire at the moment.

I feel a bit sorry for her. She's clearly out of her depth. Sir Malcolm Rifkind was interviewed yesterday and said that her answers in the press conference had been robotic. One has to wonder why so many Tories wanted her as PM rather than Rishi Sunak.

Simples. Most Tory members are very elderly right-wing people and surprise surprise would not vote for Sunak because of his ethnicity. This is even the opinion of a former conservative mp. The fate of the nation was in the hands of 50,000 blue rinsers, many of whom are still members because they don't have the energy to leave.

That's the point Wyot. Destroy the current voting system, get rid of the electorate and install a one world government.

Yes Little England racism: Brexit & Truss rather than Sunak (I have no doubt if he was white he would be PM). Doesn't reflect the majority of the country. But it is destroying us currently.

If Jeremy is clever he'll win over the market by clever but not obvious media friendly back stepping and then will manoeuvre the party to dump Liz and crown him (without stupid members voting). He'll then build the economy so in 12 months people are starting to feel better. A perfect time to call a General Election.
