Well I normally get it slightly wrong (my prediction has often come second) but this time one of my three least favourites won - Seven Moons. One of the only two I stopped reading after 100 pages. Perhaps I should read the rest. No. I can't be bothered. Far too many others like Stephen King, JK Rowling, Richard Osman - those who never get nominated, let alone win. Onto 2023.
I have only read (so far) Keegan and Strout and loved both. Not surprised they didn't win - they are too straightforward, I think, in their writing, not "tricksy" enough for the panel. Or don't provide enough misery porn like the awful Shuggie Bain...
