The Police boss is so disingenuous by saying they have been "too soft" by allowing hundreds of officers who have broken the law they are paid to uphold to continue working:

The word he is looking for is corrupt.

Soft implies they have been the victim of their better natures; too kind, somehow.

No, they have protected their own and deliberately held their officers to a different standard of behaviour than the public they exist to serve.

This is corruption. And it is bloody hard on us.

It needs to be called what it is (media please start doing your job) and urgently addressed for us and the majority of decent Police Officers putting their necks on the line daily.

Corruption, scared and accepting bribery.

I knew many unsavoury people in the past who got away with violence, robbery and had murder charges over turned to manslaughter due to money or by intimidating the police.

I knew one guy who was handcuffed he snapped the cuffs off right away, the arresting officer's were flabbergasted and scared shitless. No wonder some officer's rather monitor memes.
