Who remembers when you couldn't venture onto Twitter without being told that mysterious Gov World forces will use Covid passports to monitor every aspect of your life? They would be just the tip of the iceberg...

Well yes and I certainly found out that most people can't think anymore or employ nuance with my stance on Covid restrictions.

If you suggested the media was conflating stuff and being disingenuous to create a better story; that politicians were responding to this rather than the actual threat posed and imposing measures that were largely pointless, and with a sketchy to non existent evidential base, people somehow equated this with:

- you don't care that people die you bastard!
- you think you know more than a scientist you arrogant prick!
- you are anti-vax letting Grannies die!
- you believe Covid was invented by The Deep State...

And on and on...What a pitiful confection of muddled spaghetti most brains must be!

I recieved hundreds of messages on Twitter (and a few unpleasant DMs) one day when Peter Hitchens re-tweeted me on Lockdown.

He did me a favour, though, as I realised just HOW stupid so many people now are.

No attention to detail, no ability to read, comprehend or analyse.

And that is not to do with agreeing with me or not: it is just the inability to reason - either way.

I blame the slow death of reading decent books...

You can't read material with depth and comprehend it = you can't think in depth. You can't write fluently = you can't think fluently. And you don't get to write fluently if you don't read a lot.

I think JK and I agree that..the media have always lied.

The power as well..Murdoch's top daily in Victoria currently reviving a ridiculous story about the Premier's wife's 9 year old car accident when a young pushbike rider ran into her and was injured.

He probably be re-electd anyway in 2 months time.

Every Murdoch outlet railed against the Albanese crew but he was elected anyway and the Tories decimated whereas last elections 3 years ago the Murdoch power worked.

In West Australian Murdoch and a Tory paper railed against the Labor Party but their favoured Conservatives were reduced to about 5 MPs last year.

Are newspapers on the wane with influence?
