The reaction of nearly everybody to the dropping charging and conviction rates seems to be "we must have more". Yet it is obvious that the exploding crime area is the False Allegations Industry. So many liars or exaggerators are aware that "they will be believed - even if they are lying". But most police are NOT corrupt or incompetent and, on realising the motive for complaint is financial, or a desire for sympathy, fame, revenge or child custody, throw out the claims. Do we really want to convict more innocent men and women? Has the world gone mad? Cannot the media see the obvious?
