The hazards of church groups 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Have to say I'm sexist enough to be shocked that a woman could do this. Would be interesting to know whether she joined the church group because she was hoping to find easy prey or if she was already in the group for other reasons.

'Devious' killer who decapitated friend must serve 34 years

...The prosecution claimed Mitchell hatched a plan to murder the vulnerable widow after befriending her through a church group.

When Ms Chong backed out of giving her £200,000 to pay for repairs to her rundown £4 million home, Mitchell killed her and forged a will to inherit the bulk of her estate - worth more than £700,000.

She also forged the signature of a man named Virgil, "an erstwhile neighbour of yours who had died some months earlier", Judge Marks said.

"Following his death you have managed to gain access to his room and you took from that room, various papers of his, including his passport, as well as his mobile phone," he said.

"A short time later you rang a phone company pretending to be him, giving his name and date of birth and you had the phone reactivated."...

(To mention the Rolf Harris case yet again, I discovered some time ago that one of his accusers posted a comment online a couple of years ago recommending a particular church as a great place for making connections. I wonder if anyone is out of pocket and/or in jail as a result.)

bizarre case..how on earth was she going to explain her friend's death and then attempt to get her inheritance?

so odd..she's clearly nuts. And living in a 4.5million house..her pal was right..sell the house.
Mind you she lost her head because of it.

British murders are always bizarre.
