The real villain in the Covid farce was the media; deliberately inflating to cause a better story (as in sex abuse). But Hancock was appalling (who cares about affairs?) - obeying the media. Only Boris, whose instincts were right (as with the IICSA) but allowed "experts" to guide him down the media path, was sensible like Sweden.

I can't stand Hancock; smarmy and horrid. But how stupid suspending him. We really are all getting so superficial. Why suspend him Rishi? Because the media might condemn you if you don't. Doh.

He was following the money and his masters.

Regulars will understand that reading about this development in Matt Hancock's career has been truly "triggering" for me. Thankfully, my GP could squeeze me in last minute today, and upped my meds.
