This is why I always carry cash. I use cash for almost everything. I laugh when people use phones or cards to pay for a parking ticket for a few hours and they have troubles with phone or card.

I have been asked if I could lend some change and they say they will pay me back. Which I decline of course. I offer sarcastic advice instead.

People go on about data protection your phone is a hotbed for surveillance and cards.
