Couldn't stand him as Health Sec but he was not the real villain; that was the Media, inflating a minor virus (lethal to a few vulnerable) into a killer plague and driving Governments everywhere to clamp down and cause massive problems whilst failing to protect the elderly. As you know I fully agree that the lockdowns were an irresponsible and damaging response to a media scare. However, they were at most a joint villain with the Government - who could have governed rather than followed. Likewise with the Royal Family throwing Hussey under a bus.
