Is there anyone else who can't stand this patronising tool?

Of course saving money here and there does mount up.

However, my family spent yesterday in a shopping centre it was packed and the tills were full cash. I didn't hear one person complain about the cost of living nor moan about prices.

The only thing I bought was fuel which is creeping down but it'still expensive.

My only advice I give to young people is to immigrate if you can and get a work visa. You can get nice quaint houses across USA in decent neighbourhoods. You need to put in hard some grafting.

I used to work between 40-65 hours a week but no regrets. I loved every moment in North America. I also loved working and living in Latvia. Cold weather is the best.

You must live in a posh place. Everywhere I go (even Waitrose) people are muttering about the prices and asking packets of spaghetti if they are joking.

The thing about cold weather is that the more you have the heating on, the colder you feel, and the more heat you need.

It's not that posh Honey.

I did make some snotty Herbert go white/green in Waitrose the other day when I said to partner how about some roadkill stew during the week? My partner hit me with a coffee cup. She knows I would eat it after all.

I do have chicken livers and lamb livers during the week.

Chicken liver is like gold dust round here. I get a lot of meat from markets, like Bolton, Bury, and Leeds and freeze it.
They have stamped out our markets in Merseyside, and you cant get things like mutton in supermarkets anyway.

Oh, with the exception of Iceland, who sell frozen "minced lamb" which is actually half mutton and ideal for a quick keema.

I can get venison sausages or venison mince only at Christmas markets.

Waitrose do veal steaks but it's not cheap either these days.

A butcher sells meat from a van every Saturday, however it's the same stuff. Pork sausages, chicken breasts, lamb steaks and beef.

I do like beef sausages and chicken sausages for casseroles and toad in the hole. I am actually off pork these days apart from kidneys.

I must do a Keema again Honey.

Waitrose do sell nice offal meat from the deli counter, which is great for curries, pies and stir fries and pasta dishes.
