Stop someone with buds or headphones walking in the street and ask them what they are listening to. 90% will say PODCASTS or something similar.
Twenty years ago it was MUSIC.

I saw a bloke in a coffee shop this morning with a laptop full of apps. He said to his girlfriend he listens to Youtube videos whilst working which was like snippets of chat shows and news. However the other night in Salisbury, I did see a group of youths streaming Black Sabbath in the high street whilst sitting like garden gnomes.

The records shops in Wiltshire are busy with customers both young and old. The kids today want to buy 1980's on vinyl. On Saturday, I saw a young girl 14 or so with her mother picked up Japan - Tin Drum for £15. Her mum said you have to do chores first before you can play it.

After that another young lad spent hundred pounds of Kate Bush albums and singles. I was just buying stuff from the bargain bins but I found stuff I have been looking for or forgotten about but did find some gems for me a lot John Mayall and his 2 deleted albums.

I still enjoying browsing old cassette tapes in the local charity shop. That might be a dying art though.

My local record shops buys and sells old cassettes. He said the market is bigger than people realise. However the tapes I have bought a lot has been warped. I do get the Tony Hancock cassettes when I see them in charity shops.
