RIP Burt Bacharach 94 2 Years, 4 Months ago  
Marlene Dietrich wanted Burt (who did all her arrangements) to come over for her London tour in 1965 and conduct both Moon and the B Side Summer's Coming. His new wife Angie was about to give birth, so he couldn't. She made him arrange them both and play the arrangements over the phone for a British writer to write down so she could still do them. And she did - at the Golders Green theatre.

I'm having a fabulous Burt afternoon, all his music played by various artists. Marvelous.
