Absolutely awful. Walked out after an hour.

I went because I loved Normal People and Paul Mescal, who was superb in that, plays the lead character in AfterSun and has been nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars. He won't win of course; the kid who played Elvis will - deservedly; I loved that film; though Colin and Brendan deserve it even more for Banshees (Oscars don't give joint awards).

But AfterSun is truly dreadful. I don't often leave a screening half way through but this was giving me a headache with its awful look and pointless script and dialogue.
