TOPIC: Covid origins

Covid origins 2 Years, 4 Months ago
It looks like Covid spread from an animal despite the years now of conspiracy theories and smearing of the Chinese:

Occams razor.

What a dangerous thing the Internet allied with xenophobic conspiracy nonsense is.

I need more evidence Wyot, I am not convinced.

The media is paid and owned by the establishment.

I think the theory that makes the most sense to me is one of the virus accidentally leaking from a lab.

Imagine the weight on the mind of the person responsible for that. I would have topped myself if that had been me.

I know what you mean GM but this is some evidence, and I have seen none (other than correlation and assumption) to support the lab theory. So I go with Occam's razor if and until I see reason to get more fanciful.

Our encroachment on the natural world is causing increased viral jumps from animals to human.

Fair enough, but why does this theory make most sense to you?

I don't care where it came from. Where did flu come from? Where did colds come from? Who created the cough? Waste of time even bothering one brain cell. Things happen. Deal with them. And don't get distracted by media hyping them into something they are not. That what bothers me. As a result Covid was dealt with as though it was something totally different to the reality - millions died who should not have done.

It's not so much where it came from that interests me either. More that one outcome of the media hype - as well as the dead - being the conspiracy theories.

Lots of people instinctively saw there was something very wrong with what was being presented and the available evidence. But instead of coming to the simplest conclusion (Occam's razor - media hype, panic) they filled their heads with conspiracy theories instead. I'm terms of World stability, unhelpful ones as well.

I can't go with Occam's Razor either. I have eating a lot of wild animals, roadkill and butchery. The worst thing I have ever gotten from those was the Two-Bob Bits.
