TOPIC: Climate Change

Climate Change 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Have I gone into overdrive about media hype? My thoughts on Climate Change are - of course; the world will change just as every other planet in our universe changes. As the sun slowly dies there are bound to be changes.
But can you imagine Dinosaurs going on and on about "we must stop farting; it's destroying the planet" when an asteroid hits and WHAM that's it for a large species.
I'm sure many Human created problems affect about 1% of our planet. Stop all pollution etc and we may get three weeks more of ice and snow not melting.
The idiotic human habit of exaggeration does the usual - like Covid - it takes attention away from the REAL question - how are we going to adapt to future possible disasters? The big flood; that massive series of earthquakes; a meteor hit; anticipate and plan accordingly.

It annoys me when they say we are running out of water and resources, when with the exception of the small amount left behind in space, every drop of water, and everything else, is still here. They should learn how to recover and redistribute it, not ban plastic straws.

Funny that, the UK is surrounded by water. They need to process sea water in to fresh water. However if they did that the lobbyists will moan about the methane. Which comes from the sea anyway.

Climate-wise my favourite part of the year is when we are threatened or inflicted with hose pipe bans shortly after evacuating our homes due to flooding. I'm sorry, but my pool remains waterless in the summer under no circumstances. Relaxing on the side with a G&T is a highlight of my year.

“She seems to have got everybody at it”, said Betty.
“I’m not convinced we should let teenagers run the world. They have no life experience”.
“Oh come on Betty Brontosaurus”, said her husband Bill, “it can’t do any harm stopping us farting so much. I don’t know much about the effects of gases on the globe but Stop Farting is a catchy slogan and everybody seems to think it makes sense”.
“Well I’ve got no time for Greta Giganotosaurus”, said Betty.
“And I hate the way everyone accepts her superficial analysis at face value”.
At that moment the sky darkened.
“Oops”, said Billy, “another storm coming”.
