TOPIC: Long Covid

Long Covid 2 Years, 4 Months ago
I totally agree with this report. I would add that silly things like the odd cough are also part of the effects of Covid (which often had little or no effects at the time such as myself - my first batch was before they discovered testing).

I think even you here have fallen into the trap JK of conflating Covid with the response to Covid: the report is about the effects of lockdowns, 24-7 media inflation and Gov propaganda on our collective mental health. Long periods of stress, cortisol release, on the brain impairs its functioning.

Not so sure WYOT. Covid certainly existed, almost (but not quite) a new variant of flu. Due to media hype, governments and most people misinterpreted it and, indeed, there were many consequences of that over reaction. But also, I think, because experts examined it as a killer plague, very few examined it without that agenda. And I suspect (I know nothing) one of the consequences was going to weak points in the body and allowing some future infections (like catching a cold) have far nastier consequences.

I still think my cold turning into pneumonia in 2021 was due to Long Covid.

Any cold or flu can be deadly to any individual it's down to how good your immune system is. Don't forget a lot of people were stuck in their hovels not getting Vitamin D from the sun. All the handwashing was not good either people need to digest germs to help build up the body resistance.

I hated seeing kids in masks in shops even in the open air. They should be picking things of the floor and playing in mud. I hated it also when shops refused to handle cash and wouldn't hand over receipts. I had an argument in The Works.

I told them in a condescending tone. If use a card to pay for pen that's 49 pence. It would cost you more in banking fees than the pen is worth. My partner had a trolley full of groceries in Tesco, when they said it was card only.

She walked out before putting things away in the wrong aisles. Like freezer food in the drink aisle or opening packets. She's banned from there but she said she's boycotting the store any way.

All the mass hysteria did was just bring out the ugly side of people, people even refused to open doors for people.

Rail passengers were blocking gangways on trains because they didn't want to share seats despite wearing masks.

I do remember a joke Tubs did years ago. On trains he would wear a gabardine mac and would pat the spare seats next to him, whist giving a sickly grin.

Funnily he always had seats to himself.
