Any cold or flu can be deadly to any individual it's down to how good your immune system is. Don't forget a lot of people were stuck in their hovels not getting Vitamin D from the sun. All the handwashing was not good either people need to digest germs to help build up the body resistance.
I hated seeing kids in masks in shops even in the open air. They should be picking things of the floor and playing in mud. I hated it also when shops refused to handle cash and wouldn't hand over receipts. I had an argument in The Works.
I told them in a condescending tone. If use a card to pay for pen that's 49 pence. It would cost you more in banking fees than the pen is worth. My partner had a trolley full of groceries in Tesco, when they said it was card only.
She walked out before putting things away in the wrong aisles. Like freezer food in the drink aisle or opening packets. She's banned from there but she said she's boycotting the store any way.

Rail passengers were blocking gangways on trains because they didn't want to share seats despite wearing masks.
I do remember a joke Tubs did years ago. On trains he would wear a gabardine mac and would pat the spare seats next to him, whist giving a sickly grin.
Funnily he always had seats to himself.
