TOPIC: Old Bollocks

Old Bollocks 2 Years, 2 Months ago
I first noticed it 23 years ago. "There's no smoke without fire". Bollocks. We've used dry ice on stage for decades. Those racist closet Brexit voters "Charity begins at home" what they mean is "and it should end at home". Bollocks. So many old sayings are not just dated but wrong if you look at them.

I would not describe the country using foreigners as (almost) slaves, as "charity", nor is it charitable to only take those who will work hardest for you, and leave the most needy to rot.

I never get why people hate a country stay in the country? JK could easily move and live out his twilight years in southern France or Morocco.

Ah GM I don't hate the UK; I love it; it's my home. But it's falling apart (and so is most everywhere - look at France). Plus I'm too old now to change my base. Every day brings fresh health problems (or will, as old age grows). But indeed I would advise those in their teens or twenties to look elsewhere and suggest both Tunisia and Morocco as excellent alternatives (also Thailand).

Most of France has always been a crap hole to me. Even southern France is losing its charm and beautiful countryside. Maybe it's the expats so they needed to build more.

I always tell youths in pubs to leave the UK if they can. If they are tech savvy they can do a lot of work at home. Going to the USA as a late teen opened up new horizons and I learnt the world better than any text book could.

I started off as pulling pints but networked with friends to open a gay club, then I sold my shares too cheaply to a cocaine fulled gay lawyer.

Why not buy a second home abroad JK? You will get the best of Vitamin D and all the swimming your heart desires. Keep the London place an asset.

Yes GM I very nearly bought a second home in Ostia (near Rome) years ago but discovered just in time it did not belong to the people selling it to me. And I got close to buying in Morocco but decided that I love so many different cities in that beautiful country, I was better off staying in hotels (most of which know me well, after 50 years).
