It has history but it's always been a crap hole. Leo Varadkar, Peter Sunderland and Michael Higgins have turned in to a shanty town.

Wait until more Irish men and women leave. I have left Ireland 3 times. I will never go back.

Perhaps, Ireland was recently more generous in its immigration policy than it should have been. Based primarily on a view that - when their people needed help (Great Famine etc.) - many countries helped enormously; the USA for example.

But at least, it was wise enough to stay in the EU - with which it has a fine relationship, and only became a net-contributor in recent years. Crape hole? Galway, Ring of Kerry, Ryan's Daughter country - are up there as the finest scenery on earth.

It's done by design Barney. We voted to not to join the EU had to re-vote to join funnily we did. It was rigged, the strangers I have met behind the bar said they didn't vote to join the EU.

My ancestor's stayed in Ireland during the famine.
