TOPIC: Glastonbury 2023

Glastonbury 2023 2 Years ago
I stopped going many years ago when I got out of the car and sank literally three feet in mud.
Turned the car around. Drove back to London.
This year's lineup is VERY 80s.

Gen Z go mad for 80's music. Their grandparents are Gen X or Millennials if they are breeding young.

I think the 80's revivals festivals around the country and Netflix films have of a lot of 80's soundtracks.

My local record dealer tells me he can't put out 80's pop and metal quick enough.

It's funny you say that WYOT - I was seriously considering going to the Boss in Hyde Park (inches from me) but then thought - prices are SOOO high and anyway, I can almost watch from my rooftop.

How handy sounds great. Tickets are ridiculous. Many years ago when I didn't have much spare cash (and regardless I wasn't quick enough to buy tickets!) Van Morrison played the Broadlands Estate in Romsey.

I had a flat opposite with a comfy balcony. I forbade my then girlfriend to come round as she hated Van and even if she kept silent would have pulled faces...

I had a lovely summers evening with a bottle of rose listening to the concert.

Posh, rich bastard you are Wyot.

I go past there from time to time, the property prices are high and for a reason.

I won't go to arena's either these days, if you have a cheap or mid price seat you are watching the concert through the monitors. Might as well just wait for the home release to come out or fans uploads on YouTube.

The thing is it's the added expenses that put me off also fuel/train prices, hotels if I had a few drinks and restaurants. It's cheaper to have a few days off abroad.

I beg to differ.

I want to see your heirlooms and family jewels.
