TOPIC: Poor Phillip
#234323
Poor Phillip 2 Years ago
It is extraordinary that after all these years he is totally unaware of how the media and society now works. His interview with Amol Rajan is comparable to that of Prince Andrew with Maitlis. But he's clearly spotted that he needs to persuade his ex-friend NOT to fall for the enablers (be they bent lawyers, bent cops or bent hacks) who, these days backed by society, must be offering him fortunes to spill the beans (or even lie - God Forbid - MUCH more money in that, as Satan knows). But Phillip's real danger (which, I suspect, will see him end his life in prison) are men or women who may never even have met him or, if they did, like allegations about Jimmy Savile and others, once bumped into him in a car park and have reconstructed this brief encounter into multiple rapes because, remember, thanks to DPP Starmer - "they will be believed even if they are lying".

Interesting that BBCActionLine is available in case people want to call them and ask "How can I make millions by accusing him of events that can be believed even if they never happened". Isn't that called Collusion in a Potential Crime?

Re:Poor Phillip 2 Years ago
The one thing going for Phillip is US!!! We are watching. We are aware of what goes on. We are being (slightly) heard. Even though we HATE Phillip for his stupid behaviour (trying to jail innocents by displaying that LIST to Cameron) and saying "I HAVE NO BROTHER" in order to avoid scrutiny of his own behaviour and for declaring he was gay in order to defuse the numerous stories that he was gay - all understandable, all incredibly stupid - but that won't affect US when society tries to rob him of every penny (to bent cops, bent lawyers, bent media). When society tries to convict him of crimes that never happened. When society tries to get him to kill himself.

We KNOW this happens every day to ordinary people. We know there are thousands much worse affected than Schofield already in jails or dead. We know there are millions of friends and family members living with the ghastly injustice of this False Allegations Industry (and it's not FALSE that Phil had a gay affair).

And we shall shine a spotlight on the false accusers and their greedy enablers. Look what (eventually) happened to Carl Beech. Look what (eventually) happened to Jemma Beale. Look what (eventually) happened to Danny Day (David Bryant). Look what WILL happen to Virginia Guiffre. Look what is happening to Amber Heard. We weren't there and powerful when they all committed their crimes, nor the thousands of others. But we ARE here now, watching, commenting and - most important - being heard and seen and read.

I am so uncomfortable with the subjective judgment that this was an "abuse of power". Forgetting Phillip (and anyone with an ounce of decency must have some compassion for the man) does this mean that, for e.g, a woman of 20 can't love a man of 50 without bringing ruin and shame on him? That the rest of the world now gets to decide whether she is a "victim" or not? The issue of sex is steadily driving society mad...

The other aspect I find troubling is the selection of targets.

Now society has "progressed" to ruining people for moral lapses and "abuse of power" why is Bowie left unmolested? (just read his own words on what he got up to...). Al Pacino announces he is to be a father again at 84. Now I know nothing about his circumstances but I think it reasonable to assume the mother of his child is both less "powerful" than him and at least a couple of years younger.

If there was a consistency to all this these men would be ruined. As would half of Hollywood and the music biz. How many older male stars are with much younger women? What about Cheryl what's her name off those music "talent" shoes and young wanna be boy band members? Joan Collins? Predatory maniac. But no the women just say "go girl!". The hypocrisy is breathtaking. I suspect some homophobia in the selection of targets as well.

My final word on the subject (today anyway!). I suspect that age gaps and "abuse of power" will become - off the back of Schofield - the new media witch hunt. I further suspect if you are a gay star you will be a tastier target still. It is not at all difficult to name the next few likely targets. These people should take some serious advice now on how to handle the media as best they can. And prepare to look after themselves.

A woman of twenty with a random fifty year old is one thing, but different if it is her boss.

And if she was ten years old when the mentoring (position of power) relationship began, it takes yet another turn.

I think the real issue is the very odd behaviour of the production team who appeared to facilitate it, never mind cover up. Schofield is beside the point.

Yes I do accept that difference Honey. In Schofield's case, though, we don't know what happened. Most people fill in the blanks with "grooming". They see the age they met and come up with their answer. Why can't more people just say: I don't know. Why when it comes to celebrities does everyone think they have to have an opinion when they are ignorant. What is happening to him for having a legal age sexual relationship is horrific.

TV is all an act, presenters liking each other is a rare thing.

Philip should take all his money, live abroad and live rent free in the MSM head.

Places around the Baltic's are great and cheap to live.

The UK is a cesspit!

I agree that we don't know the circumstances here, so as ever, I assume innocence.

Crikey, Schofield doesnt help himself, does he? Saying it was just sex with no feelings might be truthful, but best kept to yourself, in the circumstances.

Totally agree Honey. He has handled this so badly, and apologising and self lacerating was a big mistake - as he was done from the get go. He has poured fuel on his own fire. And actually there are a lot of people calling his hounding out as wrong. He should have come out fighting with no apology.

I don't know much about Adrian Allen his radio shows have passed me by, also I have lived in parts where radio receptions are non existent. If I did have on radio in my cars I was always tuned to the LW band.

However he is interesting to watch.
